Tridbit Technology was developed by Custom Technology Ltd., a small software development company in Madison, WI. The company has been in business since 1994. During that time, Custom Technology has developed many types of applications for its clients, including award winning multimedia projects, various databases applications and even a mega player Internet game front-end. So working on natural language technology is not a complete departure from other projects Custom Technology has taken on. It is also a life-long area of interest for Custom Technology’s president and founder Karen Blaedow. Karen received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with a triple major in Computer Science, Psychology and Philosophy. In 2001, the down turn in the economy gave her time to dabble in this area, and within 6 months it was clear she was on to something! For two years she worked on the Babble program, deciding to go public in 2003.

Today, Custom Technology still accepts projects in any of the above areas. We hope that by patenting our tridbit technology, we will be able to focus our efforts on natural language applications. We would like to license this technology, but still allow non-commercial use and collaboration. Hopefully our lawyers will figure out a way to do this. It is a fascinating area of development.
